I am probably the only person in America who has yet to see the television show, Lost. I feel like I should either join a support group and start therapy immediately, or go crawl back under my rock.
The only excuse I have is that I have three small children at home and that by the time they have everything they need and are tucked in bed, by the time the house is reset back to the way it was, why I am just ready to pop myself in bed and read a good book for a few minutes before sleep. Except for Thursday nights. That is when I watch Ugly Betty. But that is our little secret, right?
Now, Apple is making it even harder to be among the non-Lost, so there may be hope for me, yet.
Yesterday morning. Apple announced the release of Lost, the video game for all fifth generation iPods. The game joins an array of Lost stuff, or should I say a sea of Lost (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). The release of the game has given Apple a sort of que or quinfecta. With the release of the Lost game, Apple can now say they offer a Television show (71 episodes), a sound track, an audio book, several podcasts (23 to be exact) and now the game, all related to essentially one product: Lost. And, ll of this Lost stuff can be played on one device: your iPod. It was a day in history.
Oh, and don’t forget to add to that a bunch of fan-related content that is also available.
Let’s hope that there will soon be a Lost movie. If that happens, you can pretty much bet that it will be added to the Lost lineup on iTunes, making it Lost six times over.
Currently, most downloads in the Lost world are $2. Some downloads are free, and the latest addition, the Lost video game is $5.
