Love Lessons?

Should we take a few lessons on love from the younger (much younger) generations?

Here’s what some kids think about love:

  • Loving somebody means you have to kiss ‘em right on the mouth!
  • If a boy loves a girl, he better do what she says.
  • When a mommy and daddy want a baby, they pick out one that looks like them. If the mommy loves the daddy most, she gets one that looks like him.
  • Never tell your friends you love a boy, or they might start liking him too.

Poem I

Roses are red ~
Violets are blue ~
If your feet aren’t too stinky ~
I might like you ~

Poem II

Sugar is sweet ~
But you are better ~
If my mom says okay ~
Can we get together? ~

How would you tell a girl that you like her?

I wouldn’t tell. I’d just push her in the mud.

How would you tell a boy that you like him?

Just tell him to get a haircut if he wants me to be his girlfriend.

How do you get someone to fall in love with you?

  • People fall in love because of how the other person smells, so always wear deodorant.
  • Yell, “I love you!” even if her friends and her parents can hear you.

Talk about dates:

1. Never go out to eat when you’re in love. You’ll keep looking at each other and your food will get cold.

2. Never take a girl to a really gross movie, especially if she likes to eat popcorn.

What do you think about kissing?

1. You can’t kiss anybody until they say, “Kiss the bride.” Then, you can kiss her.

2. You should never kiss when you’re friends can see you doing it.

3. Make sure you don’t have bad breath when you are going to kiss somebody, and always spit out your gum.

Lighten Up, Mom!
