If you read my other blogs, you may be aware of some of the problems I have been experiencing in my life. As I told a friend recently, I already received one reality check this year and last Friday, I received another. Because I don’t need to be told the same thing twice, I’m getting back into the habit of living my life instead of postponing things until there’s a better time or a right time. The time we have is now and it’s time we make the best of it.
What Are We Doing for Valentine’s Day?
So this Valentine’s Day, we’re going to do something a little different – the planetarium at the University in Arlington is hosting a special Valentine’s Day show that explores the romantic constellations. I’ve always been a huge fan of planetariums, but over the years we’ve never managed to get back to one. As a part of our recent goals to get back to living, this Valentine’s Day, we’re going to escape away to the stars.
We’re going to meet for an early supper and then drive out to the University to visit the planetarium and watch the show. While it’s only an hour in length, the show costs $10 and is limited to couples only. When I suggested the idea to my husband, he thought it was great. After all, we’ve done the go out to the movies and the romantic dinner for two – but this is something completely different.
Stars in Your Eyes
Going to a planetarium may not seem terrifically romantic, on the other hand, have you ever been? There is something wonderful about having stars in your eyes both literally and figuratively. Check out your local planetariums, they may actually have similar events going on for Valentine’s Day – it’s an inexpensive, yet romantic way to spend the holiday together.
