One quick glance at the Macy’s website is enough to let you know that Macy’s doesn’t play around when it comes to after Christmas sales! In addition to a sale on Christmas items, they have sales on denim, lingerie, a white sale, and a sale on furniture. The website has a 2-Day sale as well, and a deal on shipping.
With so much to choose from, it might be easiest if you created a list of the items that you really need to get, before you get distracted by all the different sales. I’m looking at the website and finding it difficult to decide where to begin. I can imagine that a shopping trip through the store itself would be even more distracting. If you are a person that uses the after Christmas sales to stock up on ornaments and decorations for next Christmas, you might want to start with their sale on holiday items, before moving on to the other sales.
Macy’s has an After Christmas Sale and Clearance that includes items from all over the store. If you are looking for Christmas decorations, start with their “holiday lane” section. You will save 60% on all holiday table linens, and 50% on all holiday collectibles. Save somewhere between 50% and 60% on holiday dinnerware, and on ornaments made of fine china, crystal and silver. The Holiday Lane & Martha Stewart collection ornaments are 75% off the original price right now.
Macy’s also has their Biggest White Sale of the Year going on right now. You can save at least 20% on items in this sale, with other items going for as much as 60% off the original price. Select bedding collections are 60% off. This is a great time to replace your sheets, pillows, comforters, or blankets, and make a fresh start for the new year. If you are looking for flannel sheets, decorated with winter and Christmas prints, they have it! The Martha Stewart Collection of bedding and “novelty” flannel sheet sets is currently between $19.99 and $47.99. The website shows exactly how many times they have been marked down since first arriving at Macy’s.
Looking for new clothing? Check out the Cashmere Sale, where women’s sweaters are as low as $29.99. Their Biggest Lingerie Sale is something you have to shop from their website, because it is not going on in stores. You can save up to 30% off the lingerie included in this sale. Another online only sale is their Biggest Denim Event of the Season, where you can get $10.00 off your purchase of denim. That sale will end December 29, 2010.
