There are plenty of attractions at Walt Disney World theme parks, and I want to discuss those great little attractions that are the most commonly overlooked! The little things are usually where you will find the most charming touches at the parks!
Walking into the Magic Kingdom is an experience in and of itself. You will hear people laughing and hustling about, enjoying the magic. You will see bright bunches of Mickey Mouse balloons, and smell the wonderful baked and brewed goods on Main Street USA. Those are the obvious things…how about the subtle little details? If nothing else, take a few moments to appreciate the details, because Walt put so much energy into making every little bit of his resort magical!
Did you know that you can stop at City Hall to pick up birthday buttons if you are celebrating your big day at the Magic Kingdom? Believe it or not, these will get you some extra special attention! You can also get your hair cut, right on Main Street at the Main Street Barbershop! You can put a quarter into the antique music box at Main Street Station and here some lovely tunes, or watch short movies at other machines that are scattered about! The Main Street shops don’t close until half an hour after the park, so consider doing your shopping, or catching a last treat at the end of the day. Not only will this allow the crowds in the parking lot to thin out, but you can likely get a pic of the castle with no strangers in it, and if you linger long enough, get ready for a truly magical experience. On most nights, you can experience the “Kiss Goodnight!” The castle is drenched in changing colors, as “When You Wish Upon a Star” plays. It’s nice to stand there and enjoy a few final, quiet, magical moments.
