Magic Play Dough

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
Magical Play Dough is not a new concept but it is so much for kids to make. If you are looking for a fun party favor for preschoolers then make up some bags of Magical Play Dough. You may want to make several mixes to keep on hand for an activity with unexpected company, babysitters, or grandparents.

I have supplied instructions for making the mix to place in sandwich sized baggies. Use as it suits you.

Magical Play Dough Favor Bag

Supply List: (one bag)

1 1/3 cups flour

2 packets of unsweetened KoolAid powder

1/4 cup salt

1/2 tsp. cream of tartar (in the spices section)

Directions:

1. Mix up your ingredients in a small bowl.

2. Put the combined ingredients in a bag. A Ziploc bag is perfect. Once sealed tie a ribbon and attach a small sheet of paper with directions. You can find ribbon and baggies at your dollar store.

Directions for Magical Play Dough Mix:

Attach these directions to your baggies.

Magical Playdoh Mix!

To make Magical Play Dough:

Empty the contents of this bag into a large bowl.

Ask your mom or dad to boil one cup of water and 1 and a half teaspoon of oil.

Get ready for something magical to happen…..

Have your parent help you carefully pour the boiling water and oil into the powder.

Do you see the magic? Can you smell something delicious?

Stir the mixture with a large spoon until throughly mixed.

Continue to mix until it is cool enough for you to handle.

Finally, knead the dough until combined and to the proper consistency.

Tip: If you find your dough is too sticky of not firm enough then add a pinch of flour at a time until you reach the proper consistency.

Store in a sealed or airtight container.

Have a Magical Time!
