Mall Walking for Fitness

I’m always looking for new and fun ways to stay fit. Mall walking is a great way to keep fit. If you live anywhere near one you might try walking the mall for an hour everyday.

I don’t know about you but I get bored very easily when I am walking. I always change up my walking routine so that I don’t have to look at the same scenery over and over again. Mall walking gives you the opportunity to see new things.

One of the benefits to mall walking is that you can enjoy other activities at the same time. First of all you can enjoy shopping while walking. For those who especially enjoy shopping this is a great way to do what you love and keep fit at the same time. I know that I love to be able to do two things at once. I always feel so much more productive.

Another activity that you can enjoy while walking around the mall is people watching. It’s kind of hard to get bored when you get to observe all of the interesting faces and mannerisms. You can also enjoy watching interactions between people. We can learn a lot by watching people.

Now if you really want to make mall walking effective then stay off the escalators and elevators. That’s called cheating. You can make the most of your mall walking fitness routine by taking the stairs.

If you want to really stretch your walk out then take a lap outside the mall as well. This can be a pretty long walk so if it’s nice outside and you are really up to the task, you can have an even more effective walking routine.

With mall walking you can do it alone and listen to music or an audio-book. Or you can enjoy walking the mall with a friend. Look for sales, discover the latest fashion and exercise all at the same time.
