So much for starting 2008 with a clean slate… It appears Martha Stewart can hold a grudge with the best of them.
The domestic diva recently revealed to reporters that she is still mad at Donald Trump—-two years after they first exchanged unplesantries during a heated war of words. You’ll recall the verbal sparring started when Trump came out swinging at Stewart shortly after her Apprentice spin-off debuted on TV.
“Donald said some things in all the hastiness that were unforgivable and I don’t have time for people like that,” Stewart told reporters at a public event yesterday.
Instead, the queen of crafts says she is concentrating on the one man she knows would never insult her in public—her boyfriend of 14 years billionaire software tycoon Charles Simonyi.
What? You didn’t know Stewart had a boyfriend? Join the club. The TV talk show hostess says she has kept her relationship with Simonyi “very quiet.” So quiet, in fact, that Simonyi didn’t even know he was officially dating Trump’s nemesis. Just kidding.
Speaking of harsh words, fashion guru Tim Gunn had a few choice comments regarding Britney Spears’ taste in clothing.
Asked whether he could possibly work some magic on the troubled singer, Gunn responded by saying he wouldn’t even “go there.”
“I would refuse,” Gunn told reporters at a recent charity event.
He added: “There is no amount of money and I’ll tell you why: I can’t want you to succeed more than you do. And it’s obvious that she doesn’t want to succeed. I think of her right now as being in exile from the human race and she needs major, major help… There was a time that we were all marginally amused by it and then it just became a repugnant horror show. No, I wouldn’t even be remotely interested in [making her over]. She is a basket case!”
