Matt Damon is the Sexiest Man Alive

According to People Magazine, Matt Damon is the sexiest man alive. Well, they aren’t telling me anything – I’ve known that for a long time! After years of campaigning by his friends, former Sexiest men themselves – George Clooney and Brad Pitt, Matt was finally given the honor for this year’s magazine cover.

Of his honor, Damon told People “You’ve given an aging suburban dad the ego-boost of a lifetime.” I have thought Matt was sexy every since I saw him in his Oscar winning film “Good Will Hunting.” That role showed us he could play a troubled leading role. I also loved his appearance on “Will and Grace.” I always thought he could be funny, but this role confirmed it as he played a straight guy pretending to be gay so he could go on a choir trip. My husband’s favorite role – yes, men like Matt too – is either his role as Jason Bourne in the Bourne trilogy or as Mike McDermott in Rounders.

Matt will not be able to make the Sexiest Bachelor list as he married long time girlfriend Luciana Barroso in December 2005. The couple has two children – Luciana’s daughter from her first marriage, Alexia, and daughter Isabella, born in June 2006.

Matt beat out married “Grey’s Anatomy” Doctor McDreamy Patrick Dempsey and Blade Trinity actor Ryan Reynolds (currently dating actress Scarlett Johansson). Rounding out the top ten sexiest men were:

Brad Pitt (please, how many times can he be on the list?)

James McAvoy (I love his accent!)

Johnny Depp (Johnny’s been one of my men since “21 Jump Street”)

Dave Annable (I honestly don’t know who he is)

Will Smith (Cute, yes, funny, yes, sexy, I don’t know)

Javier Bardem (Yeah, he’s pretty sexy)

Shemar Moore (Agreed!)

Who do you think People missed on their list?
