Welcome to our Media Week in Review! With all the celebrating this last week, did you miss some blogs? Here’s your chance to get caught up.
We started the week with “The Clairvoyant Countess,” by Dorothy Gilman. Madame Karitska came to America to flee political unrest in her country, and brought with her an unusual gift –she’s clairvoyant. Pruden of the police doesn’t believe she can do what she says she can . . . well, he’s wrong.
We then were treated to an interview with award-winning LDS author Michele Paige Holmes. You can read parts one and two of this interview by clicking here.
We then had a review of “High School Musical on Tour.” While the idea was nice, the performances were lackluster and even the children in the audience wanted to go home early.
“The Tortoise and the Hare Race Again” to try to set the record straight. In this retelling of the classic story, this time the hare wins, and both animals are happy with the outcome.
“Code Red” is an LDS suspense novel about a young woman who, as a child, saw her father murdered, and has spent her life alternately trying to get someone to believe or and trying to convince herself that it never happened.
We were treated to another interview with author James Dashner, who wrote the series “The 13th Reality” and will shortly be starting a new series with Delacorte.
Do you read for education, entertainment, or edification? In “What Do You Read For?” we discussed how every reader has their own motivations for picking up a book, and how all those reasons are right.
We ended the week with a review of “The Hidden,” a Christian supernatural novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Thank you for joining us here in Media, and we hope to see you again soon!
