Thank you for joining us at our look back at the week here in Media.
We began the week with a look at the Christian novel, “A Bride Most Begrudging.” Constance was mistakenly sent as a tobacco bride to the new colonies in America, but she discovers that perhaps this new land holds more for her than she ever thought.
American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken released another album this week, and the legendary Neil Diamond has a new offering coming soon as well. I guess we’ll all be standing in line at the music store or hovering on our favorite websites, ready to buy!
Just what exactly is a blog? It sounds sort of sticky and gooey, doesn’t it? Well, not exactly. Tristi answers the question and explains why blogs are becoming so popular. You can even give it a try yourself and see how you like it.
We were pleased to bring you an interview with author Aubrey Mace, who wrote the book “Spare Change.” You can read part one by clicking here, and part two here. She talks to us about working in a cancer treatment center and the lessons in hope and faith she learned from the patients she works with every day.
Who’s your favorite oversized green ogre? Shrek, of course! Lauri shares with us the origins of this popular family movie. “Shrek!” was actually a children’s picture book back in the day, and only became a movie later on.
We close up the week with a look at “Joseph Had a Little Overcoat,” which is a Caldecott winner based on an old Yiddish folk song. Joseph takes the remnants of his coat as it wears out and creates new and beautiful things out of it, showing that we can always be grateful for what we do have and use it to its fullest.
We hope you enjoyed this look at the week, and that you’ll be able to join us again here in Media Reviews.
