What’s On Your Life Insurance Annual Policy Statement?

Every state has a portion of its Medicaid program that is designed to cover kids. In Missouri, this program is called HealthNet for Kids.

Paul Ryan’s Plan Will harm Disabled People
I cannot emphasize enough how harmful Paul Ryan’s plan is. If you, or someone you love, is using Medicare due to a disability, you need to know that Paul Ryan’s voucher system plan is going to force people to pay more out of pocket for the Medicare coverage that they receive right now. The alternative is to accept a cheeper plan, that offers less coverage.

You Can’t Apply Online for Medicaid in Arkansas
Most states allow people to apply for Medicaid online. Some states even encourage it! Arkansas does not. Instead, the state wants people to apply in person, and to travel to the Department of Human Services Office in their county. Obviously, this will make it much harder for people to apply for Medicaid. My best guess is that Arkansas is doing this to save money on their Medicaid program. If you can’t apply for it, (even if you are eligible), then it won’t cost the state a penny!

ARKids First-B Covers Kids in Arkansas
Each state has a part of their Medicaid program that covers kids. In Arkansas, it is called ARKids First-B. There is very little information about the program available on the state’s website.
