When you sign up on a dating service site, be honest about your age and appearance. If you are truly looking for a companion then you want someone who is comfortable with you as you are. If the relationship works you will eventually meet in person. There should be no major surprises. Also remember that while you are being honest, the person that you meet may not be so honest.
Be careful about the information that you give. While you are being honest about age, weight, appearance, and hair color, do not be so free with personal information. Address, last name, and telephone numbers are not necessary. It is also wise to create a special email account just for the service. That way your primary email address can be kept confidential.
