More Crazy Parents Ruin Graduation Day

left

Apparently, the crazies are not limited to high school graduation ceremonies.

A group of California parents have just shown the world that pyscho starts early on the West Coast.

Thanks to greed, immaturity and outright lunacy, moms and dads attending a Los Angeles-area preschool commencement exercise, have landed smack in the middle of the media spotlight.

According to news reports, a group of deranged parents turned a preschool graduation ceremony into an all-out brawl. And no, they weren’t fighting over front-row seats, parking spaces or the right to cheer loudly when their child’s name was called. Rather, the altercation stemmed from a lone cap and gown.

“A few parents began arguing, which resulted in a parent being assaulted” Los Angeles Unified School District spokesman Tom Waldman told the Daily News following the fight at Weemes Elementary School.

School officials say the disgraceful display of selfishness was initiated when parents were told that there was only one cap and gown available for 45 children.

“Because of budget issues, all the kids had to share a cap and gown for pictures,” a witness told news reporters.

Shortly after the announcement was made a small scuffle broke out between two parents. That altercation then erupted into a massive melee with moms and dad taking swings at one another.

Home video shot of the rumble shows an elderly woman–who wasn’t involved in the fight—-smacking her head on a book shelf. However, instead of the incident being diffused after the lady got hurt, it only added fuel to the fire.

“I rushed to help the lady,” a witness told reporters, “but when this other mom rushed to help us, the angry women actually attacked the other mom.”

Reports say the older woman suffered a cut to her lip, though, fortunately, no children were injured during the riot.

Well, they weren’t injured physically, anyway.

As for the emotional harm the kids sustained by watching grown men and women duke it out at their preschool graduation, only time will tell the true damage. However, I’m sure a bunch of shrinks will be profiting from this incident down the road.
