Isn’t Christmas time beautiful? I love the beauty and serenity of this time of year, the problem is that many people get lost and don’t see it that way. They get caught up in the tradition of spending money and not focusing on what matters most. I’m sure you can learn a lot more about that in the Christian Blog.
However, I can help make the holidays cost a lot less. Find ways to cut costs, save money and enjoy the season while not draining your account. Here are a couple more stocking stuffers under $5.00.
Christmas Ornament – You can find low-cost (or make your own) ornaments at a variety of places in a variety of designs, characters and style. Putting a special one in a stocking each year can be a wonderful tradition.
Small Notebooks/Sketch Books – These are available at lots of places but we found them for $2 at an office supply store. They don’t fit down deep in the stocking but they will fit if you roll them a little.
Magazine – Pick out a magazine that the recipient will like, roll it up and slide it into the stocking.
Flashlight/Book Light – You can get some pretty cool flashlights for a couple of bucks. All kids love flashlights or book lights.
Cash or Coins – Any kid (or adult) likes to get a little bit of spending money. Drop a couple of dollars in the stocking, or wrap some change in a small bag with some string.
Pens – You can get some cool and fun pens, or even a package of pens for well under $5.00. Every kid loves having a special fun and funky pen.
Crayons/Markers/Colored Pencils – Get the artist in your life some fun things in their stocking by following their interest. Even if you bought all three items, it should still fall well under $5 if you shop around.
Perfume/Cologne/Body Wash – Even bath gel or anything else that smells nice. Both boys and girls love gifts like this.
Fun Socks or Undies – You can get some fun character or themed underwear or socks and roll them up. Pop them into the stocking. It’s fun and practical gift!
