More Frugal Uses for Bricks

Bricks are one of those universal objects that have more uses than we are immediately aware of. First, they look gorgeous on a house, but there is so much more you can do with them. In Frugal Uses for Bricks, I gave you a couple of great ideas, and I am hoping this article will be filled with a few more that you might not have thought of.

Organizer Caddy

Those bricks that have the hollow centers work great as an organizer caddy. Paint them, apply some felt to the bottom to keep them from scratching the surface of where you put them, and you have a great organizer caddy. It could probably work in any room, but a desk is perfect. Holds pens, pencils, tape, permanent markers, a stapler and much more.

Door Stops

An extremely frugal, yet nice looking way to have a door stop or a way to keep the door open. Cover a brick in fabric of any type and secure in place with glue. If you are good with a sewing machine, you can even use a puppet and sew or glue it into place for a child’s room. These are so cute and they help keep doors closed or open.

Fire or BBQ Pit

We have often used bricks when we are camping. You can get an old oven rack and then place it on top of several stacks of bricks. You can then use it as a camping grill, and its reusable too and costs a lot less than a portable grill. You can also use bricks to help contain your campfire, and keep it from spreading.

Borders

Bricks make great borders around your yard, walkways, flower beds and other places in your yard. Around the edge of a flower bed, it can help keep plants from spreading and can also help beautifully separate certain sections from each other.

Can you think of any more frugal uses for bricks? What do you do with them, besides toss them out. I am hoping after this article you will save them and find creative, yet frugal uses for them!
