It’s the tropical resort where ABC’s first “Bachelor” wooed one of his “potential wives.” Things didn’t work out for bachelor Alex (it didn’t help that he spent much of his time in paradise battling a stomach virus), but the romantic setting at the Kona Village Resort (located in Kona, Hawaii on the western portion of the Big Island) could do wonders for your love life. What’s more, for a limited time the opportunity to rekindle a romance or help fan the flames of a new one is being offered at an affordable rate.
From now until December 21, 2007 the Kona Village Resort is offering a fourth night free to guests making new reservations. (The offer is not good on reservations made prior to October 1, 2007.) For those of you who are not familiar with the property, the Kona Village Resort is one of the only hotels on the planet that does not equip its rooms with telephones or televisions. The resort prides itself on offering guests a true escape from the rigors of everyday life. To say the property is peaceful is an understatement. There are no phones, no computer portals, no TVs, no radios, and no noisy office equipment. Rather, you are ushered into a quaint village made up of thatched-roof bungalows nestled amidst lagoons, and black- and white-sand beaches.
While there you can spend your days on the hotel’s tennis courts or participating in ocean sports, including surfing, kayaking, boogie boarding, snorkeling or canoeing. There is even a daily complimentary kids adventure program for children ages 6 to 12.
Daily room rates start at $625 and include three island-inspired meals daily served at oceanfront tables. There is also an opportunity to partake in on-site luaus and theme night activities at no additional fee.
If the thought of not having access to a computer or TV makes you break out in hives, consider taking advantages of this next deal. OHANA Waikiki Islander (located on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu) is extending its popular “$99 Renovation Special.” The rate has been extended through March 31, 2008 and refers to renovations going on at the Waikiki Beach Walk promenade adjacent to the OHANA Waikiki Islander. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, the Waikiki Beach Walk is Honolulu’s newest hotel-retail-dining-entertainment development.
The deal is based on space availability, per room, per night, and doesn’t include tax. In addition, you should know that OHANA’s Family Plan allows children under 17 years old to stay free with an adult using existing beds, with a maximum four people per room.
