Baby scrapbooks are considered the foundation of scrapping since most scrappers get their start by creating books for their children. However, just because a baby book is your first step into the world of scrapping, you don’t have to settle for elementary layout designs. There are thousands of embellishments, paper and ideas that can easily be incorporated into a baby scrapbook and more are debuting every day.
For example, a couple of weeks ago I saw the cutest Dr. Seuss quotes for scrapbooks. The popular children’s book author has a slew of whimsical words of wisdom to add to scrapbooks with varying themes, though the one I felt best suited a baby scrapbook was this: “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
Other Seuss quotes that would work well in baby scrapbooks include:
“From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere.” – One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
“Did you ever fly a kite in bed? Did you ever walk with ten cats on your head?” – One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
“A person’s a person, no matter how small.” – Horton Hears a Who!
But, you don’t have to stick to just Seuss quotes. EK Success has a complete line of Dr. Seuss scrapbook supplies, including stickers, patterned paper, and mini albums.
If Dr. Seuss is not your child’s favorite, then consider a different theme. Noah’s Ark is a popular theme used in baby scrapbooks. You don’t necessarily have to shop for specific Noah’s Ark embellishments. Rather, look through the clearance bins at your local scrapbook shop for discounted animals stickers or animal-themed scrapbook paper. You can also use generic alphabet paper and stickers to decorate a Noah’s Ark layout. In addition, you can craft your own ark out of twigs found in your own yard or make a cardboard ark from leftover boxes.
