More school supplies for a penny! It’s Office Depot’s turn to have a school supply penny sale. And they are offering different items then the recent Staples deal. So we can continue to fill the school supply list for a penny a piece. I love this time of year.
The sale is going to run July 13th – 19th. There are limits on what you can buy for each item, so get everyone in the house involved. Each person can purchase the limit and you can return daily till you have your fill.
Office Depot penny items include:
Red Eraser Caps 12 pack. Limit is 5 per customer.
Semicircular 6” Protractor. Limit is 5 per customer.
2 Pocket Paper Folders. Limit is 20 per customer.
Acrylic Ruler. Limit is 5 per customer.
After a $7.49 mail-in rebate, Tops colored junior size writing pad 6 packs are free. This has a limit of 1 per customer.
Some other interesting deals include a Tug backpack for $4.99. Papermate colored highlighter 6 packs are .99. Color coded 3×5 index card, 100 card packs are .59. These would work great for filing coupons. Reams of Office Depot copy paper is on sale for $2.89 when you purchase a 10 ream case.
Wal-Mart is also holding a back to school sale, July 13th-19th. They have 70 sheet spiral notebooks for .05 each. Crayola 24 pack Crayons are on sale for .22 each. Roseart crayons are on sale for .17 each. Elmer’s 4 ounce bottles of glue or 2 pack glue sticks are on sale for .22. Reams of Georgia Pacific copy paper is on sale for $3.00. Packages of Bic pens are on sale for .88 and mechanical pencils for $1.82. There are coupons for .50 off the pencils on the Bic website. They have other coupons for Wite-Out and Mark-It markers on their website, too.
These penny sales are a great way to stock up on office supplies you will use all year. I try to put extra pencils, glue, paper, and erasers aside. When my daughter comes home saying her classmates don’t have enough, I send her to school with some extras. The teachers appreciate it. There are also many charities looking for donations so they can put together back to school backpacks for needy kids.
Here’s a new freebie. It’s for our girls. Girlshealth.gov talks about being healthy physically and emotionally in a fun way. You can order placemats, games, and a journal. The journal looks really cool. It comes with stickers, recipes, and an address book. You order quantities so you can pass it on to the girls in your Girl Scout Troop or church group. It looks like it’s written by the CDC, so the information should be correct.
