More on the Octuplets

There is more news (and drama) surrounding the newborn octuplets. You already know Nadya’s mother is not happy with the situation, having to help raise the first six children. The latest spat between the mother and daughter is available for viewing at RadarOnline.com. Again, mom Angela told Nadya she didn’t understand why she had the octuplets and Nadya said there was no way she would destroy the embryos and her mother needs to “let it go.” I watched part of the interview and Nadya just seems totally clueless as to the reality of the situation.

Now her father, Ed Doud, has told Oprah that he questions her “mental situation.” The interview, which was filmed yesterday, saw Ed telling Oprah that his daughter needed help and asked that people not punish her for the babies who were “given by God.” He does, however, call both his daughter and the doctor who implanted the embryos “irresponsible.” The cramped three bedroom house in which Nadya, her mom, and the first six children are living in is reportedly $23,225 behind in mortgage payments and could be sold at auction as soon as May 5th.

Nadya may have bigger worries than the mortgage though. She told Dr. Phil via phone that she may have to prove she can handle all her children before the hospital officials will release the octuplets to her. Kaiser Permanente officials have declined to comment, releasing a statement that read, “Any conversation that the mother may or may not have had on this topic is private and we could not discuss them.”

Nadya has filmed two episodes of Dr. Phil’s show, the first of which will air today. She had refused requests for an interview by The Associated Press and her phone has been disconnected. Due to death threats, the public relations firm that was handling her has dropped her.

Aye, aye, aye – can this whole situation get any crazier? Possibly! Now, Denis Beaudoin seems to think he could be the father of the octupets and demanded a DNA test, during a televised interview of course. Nadya denies he is the father but he claims to have given her three sperm donations.
