I know a lot of you are shaking your heads. “How is $99 for dinner a deal?” If you’ve ever been to Morton’s, you won’t be the one asking. You can easily spend $175 on dinner for two here, and it will likely be worth every penny.
I’m usually a Buy One, Get One free type of person, and my palate runs more toward hamburger than steak. But once in awhile, it’s nice to really splurge. To get dressed up as if you were back on a first date, have him clean and wash the car, bring flowers, and head out to a restaurant that’s far beyond your means. There’s a saying that, while overused, is very true. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. It those breathless moments that are cherished and remembered. Enrich your marriage by creating those moments, even if you’re on a budget. This deal is just one way. The possibilities are endless.
This deal, however, is not. It’s good through September 30, 2007. For your $99, you’ll receive:
- Two Single Cut Filets
- Choice of two of the following: Colossal Shrimp Alexander, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Broiled Sea Scallops
- Choice of two of the following: Caesar’s Salad, Morton’s Salad
- One Signature Potato to share
- One Fresh Vegetable to share
- Choice of two of the following: Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake, Key Lime Pie
In my experience, the steaks are of a satisfying size. The single cut filet is on the smaller size, but enough when paired with a seafood dish. They’re done to perfection. The Signature Potato is huge. This is a fine dining experience, meant to be enjoyed leisurely. Don’t go expecting an All-You-Can-Eat Sizzler buffet experience; instead, dinner at Morton’s is food for your eyes, nose, and even ears as WELL as food for your belly. It’s a complete ‘experience’, and at $99 for two, it’s a lot more accessible.
