Combining the last two weeks, here’s what we’ve been up to in Movie Reviews!
First off, we took a closer look at the classic movie, “How Green was My Valley.” Roddy McDowall had his first large role in this film about a boy who grew up in a Welsh mining town and experienced both hardship and joy.
“The Ultimate Gift” is the story of a spoiled young man who goes on a journey of self-discovery to earn his inheritance, only to find that the lessons he learned were more valuable than any amount of money could have been.
“Enchanted” is the hysterical fairy tale spoof about a princess from an animated film who is magically transported into the real world of New York City and manages to infect all around her with her optimism.
Dale Harcombe guest blogged about the classic film, “The Adventures of Robin Hood,” starring that handsome swashbuckling hero, Errol Flynn.
“Arctic Tale” is a documentary which follows a baby polar bear and a baby walrus to adulthood, showing us their habits from eating and sleeping to staying alive.
“Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Chipmunk Adventure” is the animated story of Alvin, Simon and Theodore, who go up against their female counterparts Brittney, Jeanette, and Eleanor in a race around the world by hot air balloon.
Girls weren’t always allowed to play soccer with boys. “Gracie” is loosely based on the story of how this rule was changed. A family drama, this movie isn’t necessarily for your whole clan, but parents and older children will enjoy it.
“Cool Runnings” is the hysterical true story of a group of young men from Jamaica who will do anything to fulfill their Olympic dreams, even if it means facing a lot of ridicule.
I hope you enjoyed this look at our selection of blogs here in Movies, and that you found a film you’d like to watch for yourself.
