It is the winter time and summer is only 6 months away which means shorts and bathing suits! The motivation in the cold weather becomes hard to go outside and exercise and to drive to the gym just means getting sweaty and then running out in the cold air so what is a small thing which can motivate you to exercise? Music!
Music can be a large motivator for many people to get up and begin moving. Even if it jogging in place, it is better than sitting in front of the television all winter. Our bodies need to move around, when they are sedentary, they do not work well.
Our organs, joint, muscles, and mind all need exercise and during the winter months, many people become very ill due to this reason alone. The adrenaline exercising releases in the body helps fight off colds and even flu’s.
Besides, exercise also helps stimulate the mind for better production. Choosing music should not be very hard. First decide on the artist you enjoy listening to. From the slower jazz to pop to hard rock, as long as it motivates you to get up and out, then it doesn’t make a difference.
Doing Yoga or Pilates can be done to music. Putting on a nice relaxing CD can be very motivating to just meditate and release your entire body so it feels no stress. Stretching, dancing, or inspirational dance can all be done; it doesn’t make a difference as long as your body is getting 30 minutes a day of some movement.
The general rule is any movement is better than no movement at all! Any movement will change your bodies shape whether it is jogging in place, yoga, rebounding, or ball exercises, music can be the main push for you to get your winter body ready for the summer time.
If you are a fan of Bon Jovi, make sure their CD is in the player each morning waking you up and begin your day with a twenty minute rock out session. For the evening, have a relaxation CD for the drive home so when you enter your home, any stress you may have felt from work are away and you can think with a clear mind.
Another option is on your MP3 player, to have different music libraries labeled for each feeling; angry, sad, happy; to help get your through till it is time for your workout. Any way you can find to help with sticking to your exercise routine can bring a huge difference to your life and the life of others.
