When it comes to scrapbooking there are some must have tools you need. Believe it or not you really don’t need a ton of stuff. I know many people who are reluctant to get into the hobby of scrapbooking because they think it requires spending oodles of money.
Granted you certainly can invest a lot into your scrapbook supplies but there are some basic, must have tools that will get the job done just fine.
First, you need an album. If you are short on cash you can find a nice album priced right at virtually any store. Walmart, Target and other stores like it typically have an entire aisle devoted to scrapbook supplies, all at a reasonable price.
What’s even nicer is that you have a wide variety of albums to choose from. Different sizes, colors and decorations to make your scrapbook album just perfect.
The next must have tool for scrapbooking is a supply of paper. You only need a few sheets of paper to complete a scrapbook. Most of your scrapbook will be filled with pictures so the paper is more about enhancing the look. You don’t have to go overboard.
You will also need something to that adheres your pictures and paper to the album. A standard glue stick won’t work. I would really stick, no pun intended, to glues that are designed for scrapbooking use. They hold things on your paper much better.
Scissors are another must have tool. A pair of sharp, pointy scissors to cut your pictures if need be. There are scissors available that have decorative edges but they aren’t a necessity.
The final must have tool for scrapbooking is some embellishments. Again, you don’t have to spend a lot of money. Pick up some stickers or sequins. You can find a variety of embellishments at a very reasonable cost.
With just these simple must have tools you can create an entire scrapbook for less than $25. It is possible. Once you have completed your first album however, you are likely to want to do more. You can begin to build onto your supply of scrapbook tools slowly.
Don’t feel overwhelmed about the whole idea of scrapbooking. With these basic, must have tools you can create an inexpensive but memorable scrapbook.
