Accessorizing is such fun whether it means finding the perfect accessories for a great outfit or for your home. I love accessories and here are some of my favorites:
Wineglasses
I collect wine glasses and have done so for quite a while. I love them. It doesn’t matter if they are for red wine, white wine, or champagne, I think they’re beautiful. I have a gorgeous set of crystal champagne glasses, some antique glasses, and even inexpensive ones that I happened to find interesting or attractive. I even have a few that don’t match. Either one was broken at some point or I couldn’t find a match, but I bought them anyway because I couldn’t resist. They make great candleholders.
Candles
Big ones, small ones, pillar candles, tapers, votives, and nearly any other style you can imagine, have lived in my home at one time or another. Textured candles, beeswax candles, and those with flowers embedded in the wax have as well. It doesn’t matter if they are scented or plain, they make great accessories. They are attractive and interesting, not to mention colorful, available, and affordable. You can update the look of any space by adding or replacing candles. It’s a simple, inexpensive way to make a quick change or add some color.
Candleholders
This one probably wasn’t too hard to guess. Most people that love candles also like candleholders, from candlesticks and candle stands, to plates and sconces, there are many styles from which to choose. I obviously need them to go with all my candles.
Fabric
I’ve rarely seen a fabric that did not instantly inspire an idea for a room in my home or someone else’s. Fabric can be used in so many fun and creative ways. Adding layers of great fabric to a space can make it feel warmer or even give a sense of greater formality. It’s a great element for injecting to inject texture, color, and interest into a space.
