I don’t normally do New Year’s resolutions. Mainly because I never stick to them. But, it’s fun to set goals, and it always gives you something to strive for. And, seeing as it is the last day of 2010, why not set some goals for the upcoming year. So, here I am. These are just for sharing. Every scrapper has their own goals of what they want to achieve. Maybe you need to cut back on your spending, or learn a new technique, whatever it is that you want to accomplish this upcoming year, write it down, and hang it where you scrap. This will help you stay focused and know what you need to work on.
Here is my list:
1. Scrap at least once a week. This is a lofty goal. This past month, I haven’t done much scrapping. But, I’m hoping in the new year, I’ll be able to make it a little more of a priority. My oldest will be starting Kindergarten, and maybe, just maybe that means I’ll have more time to scrap. We’ll see.
2. Learn how to use some of my tools. I bought this Stampin’ Up tool kit not too long ago, and I honestly don’t have a clue as to how to use some of these gadgets. My goal is to find some how to videos online, and figure out a way to use these tools in my scrapping.
3. Work on my goal of someday scrapping for others. This is a dream of mine. I don’t know if I’ll ever accomplish it until I can devote some serious time into marketing myself and working on my blog, but I’d love to scrap at least one album for someone else. Maybe I’ll have to do it for free, but maybe it will bring me business through word of mouth.
4. Keep writing about scrapbooking. I’m amazed at how much writing about scrapbooking makes me want to scrap. I’ve truly enjoyed these past few months as a blogger here at families.com, and can’t wait for many more months to come of writing about scrapbooking.
What are your goals for 2011?
