Hello! My name is Lisa and I am very excited for this opportunity to write and share ideas and information about one of my favorite things – scrapbooking!
It all started five years ago, Christmas 2000, when my mom gave me one of the best gifts I have ever received: a paper trimmer and a gift certificate to a local scrapbook store. I had a seven-month old baby at the time and I was looking for a way to nicely organize and document all of the important information of her first year. After walking out of the scrapbook store with a large 3-ring binder, patterned paper, die cuts and cardstock, I was ready to begin the baby book. My addiction had begun.
I have always been interested in organizing my photos in albums and embellishing with magazine clippings, stickers, and confetti. Many of those albums had to be sadly taken apart to save the pictures from acid-filled albums. It has been fun to recreate some of those albums and I have a few more to go. The great thing about scrapbooking is that it is a project that never ends!
My favorite subjects are my three kids: Audrey, Max and Hannah. I have the more traditional chronological scrapbook albums for each of my kids and also have family album. Recently I have created a couple of gift albums and altered pictures frames, a magnetic board, and notebooks with my scrapbook supplies. I hope to share some of these projects here in this scrapbooking.families.com blog.
In this blog I want to share scrapbooking information about new products, favorite tools and gadgets, organization ideas, share my own layouts and projects, and introduce new techniques. My partner on this blog, Crystal, and I are very excited to share our scrapbooking passion. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or suggestions about things you would like to see.
