Families that love to dress up for Halloween will want to enter this competition. MyHeritage is holding their second annual Halloween Family Photo competition. Take a photo of your family, all dressed up in costume. You could win a one year MyHeritage annual data subscription.
Does your family dress up for Halloween? In some families, only the children and teens dress up. Other families will have adults joining in on the fun and dressing in costume as well. It’s always adorable to see a young child in a costume accompanied by a parent who is also dressed in a costume as they go trick-or-treating together. Some families go all out and wear costumes that all fit together in one theme.
This year, before your family heads out to collect candy, take a moment to snap a photo. MyHeritage is holding a Halloween Family Photo competition. Send them your most creative and original Halloween family photos. You might want to think about the lighting used in the photo, and perhaps consider striking poses appropriate for the character that you, and your loved ones, are dressed as. If you prefer, you are allowed to send MyHeritage a photo from a previous Halloween.
After you take the photo, upload it to the MyHeritage Facebook page. Or, you can use Twitter and send a tweet to @MyHeritage with the hashtag #myheritagehalloween. If you are not on Facebook, and do not have a Twitter account, you can still enter the contest. Send your photo in an email to marketing@myheritage.com. Send it in before Friday, November 2, 2012. The deadline is at noon on November 2, (and by noon, MyHeritage means noon “in your country of submission”).
There will be a total of three winners who are selected from the photos that were entered into the contest. Each winner will receive a one-year MyHeritage annual data subscription. The subscription will give each winner full access to all of the family history records in the MyHeritage database.
Looking for some inspiration on how to take a great family Halloween photo? MyHeritage has a gallery of winners from last year’s Family Photo Contest. Some of the photos from last year were of individuals, but not of families. MyHeritage says: “Remember, we’re all about family here at MyHeritage, so we’d like to see your whole family getting involved.” I think this means that Halloween photos of someone’s whole family, all dressed in costume, have a better chance of winning than a photo of one person dressed in costume does.
