Don’t believe the rumors: Natalie Portman is not the mystery woman behind Sean Penn’s divorce.
At least that’s what the breathtakingly gorgeous actress maintains.
In an effort to set the record straight, Portman recently broke her rule about speaking to the press about her personal life, so she could clear up reports that claim she broke up Penn’s marriage to actress Robin Wright-Penn.
Portman told TV’s “Extra” that the romance story is “completely untrue” and she’s appalled that the media has linked her to Penn, who split from his wife for the second time a few weeks ago.
In the interview with “Extra,” the actress says, “Sean Penn is a friend and colleague. The reports that we are romantically involved are completely untrue.”
Portman goes on to say, “I normally do not respond to rumors about my private life, however, this repeatedly fabricated story has forced me to do so.”
Interestingly, Penn’s former wife, Madonna is also speaking out about her relationship with model Jesus Luz.
According to reports, the 50-year-old Material Girl was forced to address published reports she’s planning a lavish Kabbalah wedding to her 22-year-old boy toy Luz, after Luz’s father sparked a storm of gossip with marriage talk.
Luz’s father Luis Heitor Pinto da Luz told Brazilian magazine Quem that Madonna was planning to wed his son in New York in a spiritual ceremony, which would not make them legally married, but would show that world that they are truly in love with each other.
Madonna’s rep insists the reports are false, and questioned whether Luz’s father even spoke to the publication.
In Touch magazine says Madonna’s rep sent them this statement: “This is completely and totally not true. Jesus’ father didn’t make any statement on this subject.”
For those of you who aren’t keeping track, Madonna just finalized her divorce from hubby No.2, Guy Ritchie, a few months ago. She started dating her Brazilian boyfriend within weeks of splitting from Ritchie late last year.
