Jenna Elfman’s rep is confirming that the actress and her actor husband Bodhi are the proud new parents of a healthy baby boy. Story Elias Elfman made his debut on July 23rd in Los Angeles.
Elfman’s rep says the former Dharma & Greg star is doing fine. As for baby Story – who weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. – he is reportedly already a fan of “classical music, a clean diaper, mom’s boobs and long naps.”
This is the first child for the 35-year-old actress who played Dharma Finklestein Montgomery on the ABC comedy. She and Bodhi have been married since 1995.
HILTON HITS A HIGH NOTE
Or at least she’s trying to. According to Variety, Paris Hilton is moving from the small screen (E! just announced it won’t be renewing “The Simple Life”) to the big screen in the musical Repo! The Genetic Opera.
The ex-jailbird will be joining Paul Sorvino in the musical thriller. However, she won’t be playing herself (shocker); rather Variety reports, the 26-year-old hotel heiress will play the daughter of Sorvino’s villainous organ-transplant magnate.
And get this; the movie’s producers say Hilton was the perfect choice for the role.
“I have auditioned at least 30 actresses for this role and Paris sang better than all of them,” one of the producers told Variety. “Paris came in and owned it. She is this role.”
LATE NIGHT GETTING A NEW FACE
It’s not official, but word on the street is that Jimmy Fallon is on the road to becoming the next Conan O’Brien. When O’Brien steps in to Jay Leno’s spot on the “Tonight Show” in 2009, Fallon will reportedly make himself at home in Conan’s “Late Night” digs.
Fallon, a former “Saturday Night Live” alum (remember “Weekend Update”), has already signed a developmental deal with NBC, which includes the possibility of replacing Conan. Fallon also served as a guest host for “The Late Show with David Letterman” in 2003.
NBC says it won’t make a formal announcement until next year.
