New Non-Profit in Town

Fund It Forward is a new, non-profit organization that is in the process of applying for 5013c status. Their mission is to ease the burdens on families who are raising children with special needs. The group was started by Jackie and Rose, two moms of special needs children, and raises money to help pay for medical equipment and devices.

The group takes on a different approach to fundraising. Through the pay it forward method, families participate in the programs by initiating their own event. While raising the money for equipment, community awareness of the child’s condition is also raised, connecting families through compassion, empathy and advocacy.

Families of children with special needs fight daily battles against not only their child’s condition but against insurance companies, health care bills and medical professionals, all in the hopes of getting their child the best care possible. Raising money to help pay for these expenses, or to find a cure for their child, is a full time job as well. Many families struggle to get donations because they are not a non-profit. Fund it Forward helps to relieve the stresses of it all by stepping in and raising the much-needed funds with them.

Any child with any medical condition or disability up to age 18 can apply for assistance through Fund it Forward. Anyone can donate monetary funds towards a specific child’s needs or can donate goods or services to be raffled to raise money. You can also donate your time by making phone calls or helping to plan fundraising events. In addition, your home business can help by donating a portion of your sales to Fund it Forward.

All children deserve to receive the medical help that is necessary to improve their quality and length of life. Unfortunately, many families struggle with making that happen. Fund it Forward hopes to help children with all special health needs live the best life possible.
