New Pamphlets at Providentliving.org

There have been many recent updates to providentliving.org. The church has recently issued two new pamphlets regarding provident living. The first is about food storage. Members are urged to store three months of food and then begin to work on a year’s supply. The pamphlet also talks about setting aside money for the future. It also speaks of the importance of storing water.

The second is about finances. Members are urged to get out of debt and set aside money for times of adversity. The pamphlet also stresses the importance of teaching your family to manage money. In addition to these pamphlets the site now offers a course on family finances. You can take “Peace in Your Hearts” by simply visiting the site. There are five lessons in the course. The course is designed to help you manage your finances and get out of debt.

Additionally the site has materials for “Strengthen Marriage: A Resource Guide for Couples” and “Strengthen Marriage: A Resource Guide for Parents.” Both of these are courses available through LDS Family services. You can download the courses in English and Spanish. If you are interested in attending these courses you need to talk to your bishop who can put you in touch with a nearby class.

While you are there do not forget to check out the other great resources that are offered on the site. You can find out more about physical health, look for a job or learn about LDS family services. Each area has many different articles from church members on the different topics. You can also learn more about education and literacy.

It is important to be prepared for the future. We need to be prepared spiritually as well as physically for the challenges that we may face in the future. This site will give you guidance on how to prepare to meet and care for your family’s physical needs.
