Everyone has their favorite cleansers and when they replenish their bucket they can buy the things they like. Try to be green, if possible, the fewer chemicals they introduce to their new home the better. Dish soap, laundry soap, a few air fresheners and a cute apron will finish it off.
Look in the auto parts section of your favorite store and you can find bags of cleaning clothes, throw those in there as well. A few sponges and you are pretty much set. This is a quick and easy gift that no one else will think of. Everyone wants to buy the new couple matching this or that, but cleaning supplies will get much more use than crystal goblets. The first time they spill something on their carpet they will be glad that you have them prepared.
