We are quickly approaching the half way point of my pregnancy! The excitement from last week (birthdays and the ultrasound etc) continues with the visit of my thirty three week pregnant sister and her husband. It is hard to believe that I have only been morning sickness free for three weeks; it has made all the difference! Week nineteen is going to be a busy week!
I spent the first two days of week nineteen doing last minute things for my sister’s baby shower: baking, flower shopping, etc. I am so thankful for the renewed energy that I have had these past few weeks. The day of the shower went well and fast. That evening we had several guests staying with us (two of my sister’s good friends from college in addition to my sister and her husband). After several very busy days, I needed an earlier bedtime!
Even though morning sickness has passed, I still wake up every morning starving! When it comes to hunger, I have a one track mind and I cannot think about anything else until I have eaten. Maybe this is just another short lived phase of pregnancy ( I kind of doubt it) because my sister is not as desperate as I am for food in the morning.
While my breakfast has remained constant, this week has introduced the temptation of eating less the healthy foods. Thankfully, my “habit” of eating healthy has given me the strength to limit these tasty but nutrient deficient carbohydrates.
I was concerned that I would have a hard time getting my five days of exercise in with guests staying with us, but thankfully both my sister and her husband strive to exercise regularly and we made quite the exercising team, my sister’s husband even did my prenatal Pilate’s with us!)! We also did one of his favorite hip hop workouts, which I really enjoyed! Week Nineteen was a great week!
