Nipple Reconstruction

Well ok I need to make a decision as to whether I want to have the nipple reconstruction surgery or not. I really don’t want to have any more surgeries but the Barbie Boobies that I have now don’t look all that real without the finishing touches if you know what I mean. The doctor said it is a real easy surgery and I finally agreed to do it.

A few weeks before Christmas I decide to go and have the surgery done. The doctor explained how they make them but it sounds weird so I won’t even explain it. The day of surgery was here and it was a few weeks before Christmas I told the nurses that I was getting new nipples for Christmas and they all laughed like I was kidding. When my nurse got me ready for surgery she asked if I removed all my jewelry and I told her I forgot to take my nipple rings out. Now this is funny because I did not have any yet never mind the fact I would never have nipple rings, but remember I told you it is better to laugh than cry so I made little jokes where I could.

When surgery was over and I was all bandaged up I looked like Dolly Parton, I hope he knew he was only adding nipples not a few F cups. Surgery was a piece of cake and the results turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. This was definitely one of the easier surgeries I have had. Now I had a few months to recover before I had to decide if I wanted them tattooed or not. I can’t imagine going to the local tattoo guy and asking for my nipples to be tattooed. The thought just made me laugh out loud. Actually someone at the plastic surgeons office does the tattooing.

About Tammy Woolard

My name is Tammy and I am 40 year old mother of 3 wonderful children who came to us through domestic adoption. Although we did not have any fertility issues we chose adoption because there are so many kids that did not ask to be born but truly want a family to love. We did research on adoption choices and decided on domestic adoption through CPS. You would be surprised the differences between each agency. The adoption process is nothing like you see in the movies. I am also a 5 year breast cancer survivor. When I was diagnosed my kids were 3, 5 and 7 I did so much research I may have driven my Dr. a little crazy but that is ok it is my body not his.
