No, No J-Lo

Say it ain’t so.

When Jennifer Lopez finally announced she was pregnant with twins (during her seventh month) she said all her dreams had finally come true and she planned to “just be a mom” for a while.

Well, time’s up!

I guess “just” being a mom was not as exciting as she thought it would be because now it appears Lopez is taking the mommy bit to TV.

Yesterday TLC announced it will be airing a new reality series on how Lopez juggles her career — including launching a new fragrance — with motherhood.

ARGH!

I can’t believe she sold out. Actually, I can… what I can’t believe is the hypocrisy.

Lopez spent months denying her pregnancy and when she finally admitted that she was expecting not one, but two babies, she said she wanted out of the public eye, that the reason she was so tight-lipped about her new additions was that starting a family was an intensely private affair for her and her press shy husband Marc Anthony.

Great… more power to them. Honestly, after I read Lopez’s “exclusive” interview in PEOPLE Magazine shortly after she gave birth (you know the one where she spoke about her struggle to conceive and insisted that now that she had twins she had all she could ever want and was ready to disappear from the public eye for a while to raise her children in quiet suburbia far away from the media spotlight, blah, blah, blah) I actually gave her credit for not going the way of some celebs who don’t think twice about pimping out their children for monetary gain.

Now, comes the news that the singer turned actress was just waiting for the right network to pick up the reality TV series that she will reportedly co-executive produce, co-create and star in (TLC is calling it a “docu-series” instead of a reality TV show, which only adds insult to injury).

For her part Lopez released a statement that read: “I’m looking forward to sharing this exciting journey together.”

Oh really… Funny how she wasn’t so keen about sharing much of anything when rumors about her pregnancy were swirling like hurricane force winds.

What do you make about J-Lo using a reality TV series to promote her new perfume and having her kids share airtime to get the job done?
