October 4 Coupons – Fall Specials

There are lots and lots of coupons in the newspapers this weekend – gear up for fall savings, it’s in the air! I’m thinking Halloween, but already you can see some Christmas merchandise in some places. This can only mean one thing – Can Black Friday and its’ wonderful sales be too far behind?

My last article was about the new Kellogg’s deal for $10 certificates redeemable at major retailers for the purchase of specially marked packages of cereal. I am starting to work on this one, in preparation for Black Friday. I have visions of walking out of big box stores early that morning with tons of already drastically reduced items for free after the certificates and coupons. We’ll see. Who is up for the challenge?

In Sunday’s newspapers, you’ll find three inserts – two are Smart Source, one is Red Plum. One Smart Source is all General Mills Coupons. Look for plenty of coupons on staple items, canned goods, and check out this list to match for sales.

Also take a look at the printable coupon sites – You can find a list of printable coupons here. These frequently change, so check back often. UPromise has just uploaded a new bunch of savings for you to add to your store loyalty card. Check out Coupons.com, Smartsource.com, and RedPlum.com as well. They usually load new coupons at the beginning of the month, and some of these are only available for a limited time.

Printables are a great way to keep on top of current promotions – they often work well with rebates. For example, RedPlum has a coupon for $1 off two Kellogg’s cereals, which appears to be targeting the $10 certificate deal. Also, if you combine store coupons with manufacturer coupons, or shop at a store that takes competitors coupons, you can make out really well.

So keep clipping, and saving, and planning. It really does add up. At Christmas and Black Friday, you’ll be really proud of yourself.
