Oh Baby! Celebrating and Still Waiting

He’s finally here.

The baby Marissa Jaret Winokur never thought she would get to carry in her own arms has arrived via surrogate mother.

The “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, who won over the hearts of millions of fans during last season’s run on the hit reality TV show, is finally a mother.

Winokur and her husband, comedy writer Judah Miller, just announced the arrival of their first child, son Zev Isaac Miller. The baby boy was reportedly born on Tuesday and Winokur and Miller helped deliver him.

According to reports, Zev (the name means “wolf” in Hebrew) weighed 8 lbs., 7 oz. and measured 21 inches long.

“He is so perfect,” the 35-year-old Broadway star told PEOPLE magazine. “My little miracle baby is here, and I can’t believe it.”

The Tony Award-winner (for her role in Broadway’s “Hairspray”) is a cervical cancer survivor who was told by doctors that she could not carry a baby to term.

And as if she doesn’t have her hands full as a new mom, Winokur recently revealed that she will begin another new job this fall as the host of her own talk show.

While the always-cheery Winokur gets used to motherhood another Hollywood star says she is preparing for big changes in her own life.

Actress Rebecca Romijn says she and her husband Jerry O’Connell are “actively trying to get pregnant.”

The couple, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary last week, says they want “lots of babies.”

O’Connell, who says trying to get pregnant is “a lot of fun,” admitted that he hopes the conception comes as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the couple revealed that they are staying busy “parenting” their four-legged “babies,” dogs Taco and Better.

“Pets are training for kids,” O’Connell told reporters at a recent charity event.

Those kids that O’Connell and Romijn are trying so hard to conceive had better like to travel. Now that production of “Ugly Betty” has moved to New York City the actress has been commuting from the couple’s home in L.A. to the ABC comedy’s set in the Big Apple bi-weekly.
