One Celeb Finds Love, One Ends a Marriage, and Another Takes a Pill

Marilu Henner Marries College Crush

Marilu Henner of “Taxi” fame has married her college crush. She and new hubby Michael Brown had been dating for three years before taking the plunge last week. Henner has been divorced twice, but says she never had a second thought about giving marriage another try.

She refers to Brown, whom she met in college in the early 70s, as her soul mate. The two reconnected in 2003, but shortly thereafter Brown was diagnosed with cancer. He proposed from his hospital bed that November and Henner said “Yes.” The couple spent the Christmas holidays in Borrego Springs, CA with Henner’s family. They are still planning their honeymoon.

Sandra Oh’s Free Again

The marriage of “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Sandra Oh and writer/director Alexander Payne was officially dissolved on December 22, however, the couple still have to finalize their divorce and resolve legal issues.

The couple was married in 2003. Oh and Payne walked to red carpet together for the 2005 Academy Award ceremony where Payne accepted a Best Writing (for a screenplay based on previously produced or published material) Oscar for Sideways in which Oh starred. But, shortly after the ceremony, the couple announced their separation. This was the first marriage for both celebs and they have no children.

Sylvester Stallone Relied on Advil

I have not seen the latest installment of the Rocky series (Rocky Balboa,) but I have read good reviews about it. Sylvester Stallone was 30 when the first Rocky was filmed and said that this sixth installment was a bit tougher on his body. Now 60, Stallone said he was particularly injury-prone during the filming of Rocky Balboa. He broke his foot, suffered from a bulged neck disk, shredded a calf muscle (for which he had to wear a cast), and has admitted “each day was an Advil day.”

Looks like all the suffering may have paid off for Stallone. Rocky Balboa opened at #3 in the box office, taking in $12.5 million over the weekend and $22.1 million before Christmas.
