Organizing Your Stockpile

Once your stockpile starts growing, it’s important to keep it organized so you can easily keep track of inventory and expiration dates. Whether you live in an apartment building or condominium, or live in a nice big house, there is always room to stockpile. I hope this will give you some ideas to store and organize your stockpile. You can store your stockpile in your attic, basement or garage.

Here are a few examples of the ways you can store and organize your stockpile items.

Wooden shelves are easy to install and are a very nice way to store things. You can install them on any wall and fit them to what ever amount of space you have available, by setting the brackets as far or near as you need, and by purchasing wood boards to fit. As you can see, my husband installed these shelves over our deep freezer, where we had a little extra wall space, and where it normally couldn’t have been used for anything else.

Plastic drawers, carts or bins like these are great for storing little things like kitty food pouches, makeup, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorants, candy, gum, samples and more. It keeps things organized, and in easy reach.

Check out the dollar or discount stores in your area. They usually have all kinds of plastic drawers, bins and totes and other things that you can use for your stockpile for a reasonable amount of money. You may have to invest a small amount of money to organize your stockpile, but you will start saving that back in no time.

Wire shelves are also easy to install and are great for putting up high in your garage or in other areas out of the way. While it’s hard to store bottles and smaller items on them, they are great for storing paper towels, toilet paper and other larger items.
