Paradise Lost

Book ‘em Dano!

Police officers in Hawaii arrested yet another star from the hit ABC show “Lost” early Thursday morning. According to news reports, Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin-Soo Kwon on the primetime drama, was arrested around 3 a.m. Thursday morning for allegedly driving while intoxicated on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, where the show is filmed.

Details of Kim’s arrest have not yet been released. However, police reports say the actor was released from police custody after he posted bail. Officers say Kim was only at the Honolulu Police station for a couple of hours before he was allowed to leave.

Kim now earns the distinction of being the latest “Lost” star to make headlines for all the wrong reasons. Other “Lost” cast members busted by cops in Hawaii include Cynthia Watros and Michelle Rodriguez, who were both arrested for DUI last year. Then there was Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who was arrested for driving without a license in 2006. The year before that Josh Holloway and his wife were robbed at gunpoint at their island home. And less than a year ago Evangeline Lilly’s rented home near Oahu’s North Shore was destroyed by fire.

So much for keeping a low profile in paradise…

Speaking of failing to keep a low profile, Paris Hilton’s high profile trip to Rwanda has been postponed.

The planned trip, which was supposed to be the party princess’ first major post-jail philanthropic effort has been reportedly put on hold while the foundation that organized it undergoes a restructuring of sorts.

The announcement comes as a big blow to all the late night talk show hosts who had a field day (on Hilton’s behalf) when it was announced that the former jailbird was taking flight to Rwanda. You’ll recall the hotel heiress made a public pledge to change her image shortly after being released from jail in June (she served 23 days in the slammer for violating probation in a DUI case). At the time, Hilton claimed she was going to step away from the party scene and make charity work a focal point of her life.

So much for that idea… Oh well, back to shopping.
