With celebutantes like Paris Hilton floating around Hollywood it’s hard to grasp that there are a number of other famous 20-somethings who are making names for themselves in ways that don’t land them in a 12-foot jail cell for 21 days. I’ll get to one of them in a moment.
First, though, as long as I’m using her name in yet another blog I might as well give you the latest on the millionaress. In a recent interview done with Elle UK, the 26-year-old hotel heiress claims she is prepping her body for an effort to have children by next year. According to the article, Hilton is meeting with a trainer six days a week in order to get her body primed to conceive.
“I want kids next year, so I’ve got to get my body ready,” Hilton told the magazine.
I’m not sure how her daily intake of Taco Bell and In-and-Out burgers qualify as a preferred pre-natal diet, but then again I suppose food is the least of her worries considering the former reality TV star currently doesn’t have a boyfriend… and therefore, technically doesn’t have the means to fulfill her goal.
When asked by Elle if she would consider having a child on her own if she does not find someone in the next year, Hilton responded by saying:
“I [wouldn’t think about having a baby on my own] because I wanna have a family and a guy. Y’know, it just upsets me because I’m not anything like what people say about me, and the cartoon character they’ve made of me is just completely false…I don’t get it.”
So, no guy… no baby. Well, at least her workouts will help burn off all the burrito supremes she’s been downing after bar time.
Now, that you know the latest with drama queen let’s compare her to actress Eva Amurri. If you aren’t familiar with the name, Amurri is the 22-year-old daughter of Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon. However, instead of spending her nights hitting Hollywood hot spots and her days burning a hole in her credit cards on Rodeo Drive, Amurri spends her down time in Africa visiting underprivileged children in Namibia. While there the young actress has volunteered to help paint dorms and teach arts and crafts.
As a result of her generosity of time and talent, Amurri was recently named as a celebrity United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. As part of her responsibilities as Goodwill Ambassador, Amurri will help with fundraising efforts for children living in HIV/AIDS-affected communities in Africa.
Just call her the anti-Paris.
