Peanut Butter Corn Flake Cookies
Send these to school next time it’s your turn to provide treats.
INGREDIENTS:
6 cups cornflakes
1/2 cup peanuts
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a large bowl, combine cornflakes and peanuts, and set aside.
2. In a heavy saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter.
3. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until butter melts and sugar dissolves.
4. Let mixture boil hard for 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter and vanilla and beat until peanut butter melts.
5. Pour mixture over cornflakes and stir until evenly combined. Press into a 13×9″ pan and chill until firm.
