Photography Week in Review for March 2-8, 2008

Peter Cottontail is prepping to hop down the Bunny Trail while youngsters are readying to hit the beach for the big spring break holiday… is your camera ready? If you are looking for ways to spice up your family photos (at the beach or at home during Easter gatherings) then you’ve come to the right place. This week I provided tips on how to snap frameworthy group shots (even when you are shooting camera shy individuals). And in keeping with all things Easter I even threw in a few wonderful photo projects that are sure to be a welcome addition to anyone’s Easter basket.

March 2nd—–Tips for Shooting Camera Shy People. Not everyone enjoys flashing a grin when a camera is present. (Just ask my mom.) Which is why it is a good idea to learn how to work with camera shy people. This blog provides tips on how to relax camera shy individuals so you can snap a winning pic.

March 3rd—–Tips to Consider When Taking Group Shots. Obviously, taking group shots is a bit more challenging than taking a photo of a single subject. March 7th—–Making Photo Easter Eggs. If you are looking for a unique way to spice up an ordinary Easter basket with shots of your most adorable bunny lovers this is the blog for you. It provides tips on how you can turn an ordinary photo into an Easter masterpiece.

March 8th—–How To Spice Up Family Photos. This week I received a Valentine’s Day card from a friend with the most incredibly creative family photo in it. Find out what she and her family did to spice up their portrait and how you can do the same with yours.

Michele Cheplic was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, but now lives in Wisconsin. Michele graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Journalism. She spent the next ten years as a television anchor and reporter at various stations throughout the country (from the CBS affiliate in Honolulu to the NBC affiliate in Green Bay). She has won numerous honors including an Emmy Award and multiple Edward R. Murrow awards honoring outstanding achievements in broadcast journalism. In addition, she has received awards from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association for her reports on air travel and the Wisconsin Education Association Council for her stories on education. Michele has since left television to concentrate on being a mom and freelance writer.
