Photography Week in Review for November 19-November 24, 2007

With Thanksgiving being the highlight of the week I spent time focusing on holiday picture taking opportunities and how to frame those prize-winning family portraits. Also, included in this Photography Week in Review… a dash of celebrity photographers and a pinch of gratitude for my favorite camera.

Take a look:

November 19th—–Celebrity Photographers: Jeff Bridges. Who said all actors are one-dimensional? If you are a fan of actor Jeff Bridges you are used to seeing him in front of the camera, but not very many know what a whiz he is behind the lens. If you don’t believe me, head to a local bookstore. That’s where I found a coffee table book filled with some of Bridges’ best still photographs. This blog details the prize-winning shots Bridges included in his best-selling book.

November 20th—–Framing Your Favorite Photos: Choosing the Right Mat. Mats have the ability to change the way a person views and responds to photographs. This blog provides basic tips on how to pick the perfect mat for your prize-winning shots.

November 21st—–Getting Your Kids to Smile… for the Camera. You don’t want them to say “CHEESE,” but you don’t want to get a shot of a stone-faced Sammy either. This blog provides tips on how you can get kids to light up in front of the camera.

November 22nd—–Why I’m Thankful for my Camera. In honor of Thanksgiving I express my gratitude for my… camera. It may sound cliché, but I don’t think I could live without my little hand held high-tech friend. Find out why in this blog.

November 23rd—–More Matting Tips. Today we refocus our attention on picture frames and the art of finding just the right mat to enhance your images. You can pick up a few more tips in this blog.

November 24th—–Framing Your Favorite Photos: One Mat or Two. Ah, the good ol’ single versus double mat dilemma. This is another quandary I often face when it comes to framing my prize-winning shots. Again, this one comes down to personal preference. However, there are a few tips you should keep in mind before settling on one mat or two find out what they are in this blog.
