Planning the Toddler’s Birthday Party, Part 2

Jessie’s birthday is coming. Where has the time gone? Jessie is going to be three. She’s tall and looks so grown up. My toddler won’t be a toddler much longer. May I stop time?

I thought of a lot of different places to have a birthday party for her. If I had her party outside our house, then I wouldn’t have to worry about cleaning for the party or cleaning up after. That was very enticing, but I couldn’t decide on a location and I wanted to have food.

Chuck E Cheese’s has tasty pizza and all people could eat, not just children. But Chuck E’s is loud and not private. I haven’t been there in years, so I don’t know how it fares for little children.

Pump It Up would be wonderful fun. The party packages include pizza just for the children, but we could buy extra for the adults.

Jessie had a blast at her friends’ party at the pool, so I considered it too.

We love Gymboree and Gymboree has nice party packages. But we wouldn’t be able to have the food and drinks that I want.

I’ve decided just to have the party at home like we did last year for her combined two-year-old and adoption party. I’m excited. I’ve sent out Evites and a bunch of people are coming. We’ll get pizza and cake at Costco. There’s a recipe for chili cheese dip on one of the cans of chili and I think I’d like to make that for the party. Doesn’t it sound delicious?

I’d like to have a bounce house. I’m afraid that if I order one, though, the weather will turn bad and no one will be able to use it. I’d rather not jinx the day. I’ll write about the party after it happens. Stay tuned.
