When we went to Disney World a couple of years ago, we had the pleasure of seeing Playhouse Disney Live at Disney-MGM Studios. My daughter, then 4 years old, thrilled to seeing Bear in the Big Blue House live on the stage along with Stanley and more. Beginning this September, you won’t have to travel to Disney World to enjoy Playhouse Disney Live as it begins the first U.S. live tour of 70 cities.
Playhouse Disney Live
The live stage production features four shows worth of characters from Disney Channel’s popular programming block. The featured shows will include characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and My Friends Tigger & Pooh. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, May 15th for all 70 cities and engagements.
Producer Kenneth Feld describes the live show as:
Playhouse Disney Live! brings these TV shows to life and engages children in an inspiring experience with the characters they love to watch on Disney Channel every day. They will feel as if the ‘Playhouse Disney’ stars jumped out of the screen and onto the stage right before their eyes. From Mickey and pals to the globe-trotting Little Einsteins, everyone comes together to share the universal language of music with children everywhere.
Great Opportunity
The live show is a great opportunity for parents and children alike to enjoy Disney magic live. I can speak from experience that as fun as the cartoons can be, a live show is a memorable experience. My daughter has seen the Playhouse Disney Live program at Disney-MGM, Dragon Tales Live, Disney on Ice and Dora the Explorer Live.
She remembers the live shows in a way that she doesn’t remember the cartoons. Some of her best memories come from these live productions. Thanks to these live shows, my daughter loves seeing live stage productions whether they are musicals, ballets or other form of entertainment. A couple of summers ago, she thrilled to see Peter Pan live on stage.
I’ll post their tour schedule as soon as it is available.
