New Year’s resolutions are being made all over the world tonight, as we vow to make changes in our lives and goals to set for the year. Last year I made a few resolutions or goals and I stuck to them for most of the year. This made a huge difference in my decision to make new ones this year.
I pledge to live a more frugal life. I pledge this exact same thing every single year. Most of my friends think it is a strange goal, since I already appear to be living a very frugal lifestyle. I pinch pennies, save extra money, have invested and done other things to live more comfortably.
Am I taking my own advice? I certainly am.
Am I already living frugally? I certainly am.
Am I shopping sales, comparing sales prices and using coupons? I certainly am.
Am I reading reviews before spending my money on any major items or appliances? I certainly am.
Am I buying clearance items whenever I can? I certainly am.
Am I reducing my monthly bills like electric and water by utilizing the many money saving tips that I read and write about? I certainly am.
Am I spending less and not purchasing wants and focusing more on the things my family and I need? I certainly am.
Am I reusing items instead of throwing them out? I certainly am.
Am I finding new uses for furniture and other items that I have spent money on that I no longer use for their intended purpose? I certainly am.
Am I still looking for ways to cut costs, save money and live more frugally? I certainly am.
So that is why I pledge to live more frugally this year. Because there are constantly new and creative ways to do this and I plan to share them with you as we go.
