Life & Style magazine is reporting that Justin Timberlake has agreed to meet up with his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears at… get this… a Spears family barbecue this summer.
According to the magazine, Brit’s dad/conservator Jamie Spears was the one who begged (I mean asked) the “SexyBack” singer to meet with his daughter in a neutral and “laid-back” environment. Sources tell the magazine that papa Spears is hoping Timberlake can further aid his reforming pop wreck of a daughter as she deals with her mental health problems and gets her life back on track.
The former Mouseketeers dated for four years from 1998 to 2002 prior to Spears marrying Kevin Federline, had two sons, shaved her head, checked in and out of rehab, partied pantyless with Paris Hilton, etc.
Sources tell the magazine that Jamie reached out to Justin and “asked if he’d be willing to come over to Britney’s house to talk to her face-to-face, and Justin said yes.”
According to Life & Style, Brit’s father is hoping that by seeing Timberlake his daughter will be able to get some “real closure” and move on with her life.
Huh? Are we to assume that the reason Brit went off the deep end is because she never got over her failed relationship with Jessica Biel’s new man?
If Timberlake does show at Casa de Crazy this summer let’s hope he’s smart enought to leave Biel at home and brings some ribs instead.
TOM CRUISE, JR.
File this one under: “It was just a matter of time.”
New reports claim Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s 13-year-old son Connor will be making his big screen debut in a movie starring Will Smith and directed by Steven Spielberg (a.k.a. Cruise’s best pals).
According to the National Enquirer, Connor will play Smith’s son in the new movie “The Trial of the Chicago 7.” The film reportedly chronicles the trial of demonstrators arrested during the 1968 Democratic National Convention.
The tabloid claims Tom’s offspring, who has aspired to follow in his father’s footsteps, “wowed” casting directors at his audition for the movie.
A source tells the National Enquirer, “Tom is thrilled because Connor went through the auditions like all the other children, and seems to have been given the job based on his talent.”
“Seems” being the operative word.
Who knows maybe Connor Cruise is a Tom Jr. in the making.
