Author J.K. Rowling is either giving millions of Harry Potter fans reason to hope or she’s leading them on big time.
The 42-year-old multi-millionaire recently hinted that she might add an eighth book to the boy wizard franchise. You’ll recall earlier this year Rowling ended the series with the release of the seventh and supposed final novel, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.
Now the author is revealing that she is tempted to revisit the world of Hogwarts just one more time although the story may not be built around the title character.
Rowling told reporters, “There have been times since finishing, some weak moments, when I’ve said, ‘Yeah, all right’, to an eighth novel.” Though she added, “If – and it’s a big if – I ever write an eighth book about the wizarding world, I doubt Harry would be the central character.”
TYRA TO ADOPT
Supermodel-turned-talk show host Tyra Banks wants to be a mommy.
But, the 34-year-old swinging single says don’t look for her to get married before doing so. Banks says she is planning to adopt a child.
The creator of “America’s Next Top Model” says she wants to follow in the footsteps of celebrities including Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt by opening her home to children in need.
Banks recently told reporters, “I’ve wanted to adopt since I was nine. I have a connection with children and they don’t have to come from my womb for me to have that connection.”
BRITNEY TOPS SANTA’S “NAUGHTY LIST”
No surprise here–Britney Spears has topped a new Internet poll, which asks respondents to name the celebrity they think should be on the top of Santa’s “naughty list” this Christmas.
Of the 2,000 children under the age of 12 polled by a major marketing firm more than half felt pop wreck Spears deserved nothing but a lump of coal in her Christmas stocking with Paris Hilton coming in a distant second.
Others celebs making Santa’s mock “naughty list” included Lindsay Lohan, Beyonce Knowles, Star Wars character Darth Vader and Dora The Explorer’s foe, Swiper the Fox.
